GENERAL:
Designed for children in Kindergarten thru 12th grade
3 seasons: Fall, Winter (Indoor K-6 only), and Spring.
Clinics are run by professional soccer coaches
Games are coached by parent volunteers
Fall and Spring Seasons include a clinic during the week and a game on Saturday
Practices are at the discretion of parent coaches
Clinic Groupings are by grade and gender except for Grades K-2 which are by team
Winter Season is geared to skill improvement

Teams are by gender and grade, with some grades being combined
Teams are balanced for competitive parity
Teams are rostered by the Grade Commissioner who was selected by the
Grades K - 4 teams play each other in town
Grades 5 - 12 teams may compete against teams from one or more towns in an intertown "RecPlus" league home and away
Approximately 2,000 players are involved in the K-12 Rec League during the year
Every effort is made to be inclusive for all who want to play

ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all Westport residents and students in Westport public or private schools; also children of teachers in the Westport School system
Player must be in Kindergarten - 12th grade beginning in the Fall season
Spring is a separate season for rostering purposes
High Schoolers: please note in Fall Season if you are playing HS Soccer you legally are not allowed to play in this league (the HS may have to forfeit their games)
Westport Travel Players are welcome and encouraged to play Rec League.
